Open Question: HELP! Traveling quetions for Hawaii! 10 points to b/a!?

I am looking to travel to Hawaii with my fiance in april this year; Here are my questions: 1. Should I book hotel and flight seperately? If not; what site do you recommend? 2. Where should we stay? (Honolulu, Maui I have no idea; first time going) We are looking to relax by the beach as well as light activities and definitely some restaurants to try out. So please help with some recomendations!
