Open Question: Will I feel the price drop?

I live in Honolulu, HI and everyone tells me that everything in Hawaii is so expensive compared to the mainland. I plan to move to Seattle, WA. I looked up some grocery prices and compared them to Hawaii and its only a dollar or fifty cents difference for each offer. I am not sure about rent either because I live with my family and there is not mortgage on our home, I don't pay any bills either so I don't know whats expensive or not. A really nice 1 bedroom luxury modern glass condo style in Hawaii is going for 2450 a month for the cheapest one and its only 700 sqft. A similar but nicer luxurious condo in Seattle/Bellevue thats 1,000 sqft 1 bedroom is going for 2350 which is only 100 dollars difference. These are the building I am comparing.
